The Vineyards of the Willamette Valley

The Willamette Valley follows the Willamette River north to south for more than a hundred miles from the Columbia River near Portland, Oregon to just south of Eugene.  The wine growing area that we will concentrate on lies just southwest of Portland and north of Salem.  The rolling hills on the northwest side of the valley are where the finest Pinot Noir grapes are developed.

This section of the valley is home to a number of very unique American Viticultural Areas (AVA) such as Ribbon Ridge, Yamhill-Carlton District, McMinnville, Eola Amity Hills, Dundee Hills and Chehalem Mountains.

The climate, soil and altitude of each AVA are slightly different, thereby giving the wines produced in them different characteristics from one another.

Wineries such as Domaine Serene, Anne Amie, Domaine Drouhin and Archery Summit offer a wide variety of architectural flair, scenic views and geographical settings giving the visitor a much broader sense of adventure. Touring the Willamette Valley Wine growing area is not just for wine tasting – it’s for the experience that you’ll remember for a lifetime.  We’ll see to it!
